Instructions for using Evernote Note-Taking in MindTap
and Whenever/Wherever You Want to Use Them

To take major notes in the MindTap reading environment, use the "My Notes" feature rather than the post-it style mini-notes.
Here is how.

I. Setting-up for Evernote note-taking while reading in MindTap (appx. 2 mins.)

  1. Select the marking tools icon, which is a marker and a pen.
  2. Set up your Evernote account when the note-taking screen is active. Use your college email address: ____________@email.vccs.edu. It takes about 60 seconds.
  3. Very important: Allow the MindTap publisher (Cengage Publishing) to access your account for one year when that option window pops up; otherwise your notes will not save.

  2. Click on New Note in the top left corner of the not-taking screen.

  4. Scroll between the eBook chapter text and the Evernote function by using the arrows at the top right of the note taking screen.
  5. When finished, be sure to click on "Done" at the top left of the note-taking screen and then "Sign Out" at the top right of the screen.

  4. Input your notes or edit the notes you already composed.
  5. When finished, be sure to click on "Done" at the top left of the note-taking screen and then "Sign Out" at the top right of the screen.
